Well, hello. Fancy seeing you here. Thanks for stopping by this site. My name is Caley, and I’m a journalist and educator. The best way to get to know me is to check out my bio. Or, heck, if you want to, drop me an email any time. You’ll also get a sense of who I am (a wise person once said “work your love, love your work”) if you head on over to visit me on Twitter.

I advocate for journalism that moves people to make a difference, smart living that incorporates engaged local communities, healthy indie media, one space between sentences, and the Oxford comma. I believe the best art comes from a life that diverges away from the main highways every once in a while. I’ve been a professor, I’ve toured the country with musicians, I’ve coached girls soccer teams, I helped market a record label, I’ve tutored college athletes, I’ve researched the habits of the religious, and I’ve written about everything from rock stars to conference championships to squirrel fishing to city council meetings. I’ve visited 43 of the 50 states.

Thanks for stopping by.
